New Beginnings, Possible Futures

2021

It was a wild, weird and intense year, during which we have transformed from a festival into a year-round institution and established CentrALT, the first Polish-Jewish Centre for Contemporary Art.

even on December 31st, we weren’t done yet!

On the last day of December, we hosted a very special event looking at the insane and magical year that’s past and the unbelievably exciting year to come with some very special announcements.
We were joined by FestivALT artists like Betty Q, Ludomir Franczak, Tobaron Waxman, Maja Luxemberg, Jason Francisco and Atalya Laufer.
At midnight we are joined by Yiddishist and ethnomusicologist, Rachel Weston, who honored us with an exclusive concert at midnight.
And all night long, together with our audience we were dreaming impossible dreams, inspired by FestivALT co-founder, Jason Francisco’s ongoing lovely habit of dreaming up remarkably impossible FestivALT projects.
